The Swachh Bharat Mission, launched on 2 October 2014, is the biggest cleanliness campaign ever, which is targeted to be completed by 2019.All the municipal bodies have worked tirelessly with the support of common people to achieve success in Swachh Survekshan 2019. Individual community and public toilets have been constructed to make the mission a success as well as cleanliness campaigns, promotional activities, hoardings, banners, Other awareness activities have been conducted through the use of dustbin, print and electronic media.
Some important steps have been taken in this regards

1.Construction of pink toilet for women in Giridih.
You all must have seen the pink auto reserved for women, now pink toilet is being arranged in the municipal bodies of the state for women. These toilets painted with special pink color have special facilities for women which are not available in other restrooms, hence they are named pink toilet, the place for pink toilet is being chosen after much thought.
A large number of women and girls visit the commercial center for shopping, but they had a lot of trouble due to no separate toilet for them. Cleanliness has been taken care of in the Pink Toilet constructed with the idea of providing toilet facilities to women with children and giving them all the facilities at one place. Sanitary napkins for convenience to women in the toilet Sanitary napkin vending machine is also available for availability. Now women can use it without any hesitation and fear.

2.Clean survey journey so far
In the year 2014, the Swachh Bharat Mission was launched as a nationwide campaign for cleanliness. The performance of Jharkhand was not encouraging in Swachh Survekshan 2014, but the performance of Jharkhand improved significantly in Swachh Bharat Mission 2014 and the state got the third position in the country.

3.Instructions given to lift 100 percent waste in the bodies.
The Urban Development and Housing Department has started the initiative to lift door-to-door garbage in the municipal bodies of the state. All the municipal bodies have been directed to ensure waste pickup from all houses. The work of disposal of wet / dry waste separately has also been started.

4.The trainee IAS team learned about the Swachh Bharat Mission and other schemes.
The team of 14 trainees IAS reached Ranchi on 12 January. In the meeting hall of the project building, Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department Shri Ajay Kumar Singh informed the trainee officers about the centrally sponsored schemes. Various schemes - Smart City Mission, Amrit, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Namami Gange schemes made aware. On the occasion, Director of SUDA, Shri Amit Kumar apprised all the trainee officers about the work being done by various civic bodies.

5.Swachh Bharat Mission - Urban, ODF , ODF + and ODF ++
Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India has set up Quality Council, bound to certify 4389 urban local bodies of the country as open defecation free by October 2019 under Clean India Mission. Purpose of Clean India Mission; Urban To provide clean and useful toilet facility for citizens. Cities that have been certified on the basis of protocol prescribed by the department and have the ability to apply for proof for declaration. In the said light, 60 urban local bodies of Jharkhand applied for ODF + certification, the same urban local body - Jamshedpur notified The Area Committee has applied for ODF ++ certification. It is being investigated by the Quality Council of India, the results of which will be announced soon.

6.Various toilets designed to make the state of Jharkhand open defecation free.

7. Manure manufacture from kitchen waste.
It is very important to have 4 things for composting.
1 Dry leaves, washed soil, paper: carbon
2 leftovers from leftover fruit and vegetable waste: nitrogen
3 Our Atmosphere: Oxygen

a. Easy method of making compost from the things available at home: - Take a big clay pot or a bucket. If you want, you can also dig a small pit behind the house. After that, make four to five holes around the compost bin so that the garbage kept in it can get air.

b. Spread a little soil on the bottom of the vessel. Then put the wet waste and the dry waste in a few layers on top of that sheet. When the paper is filled with layers of both dry and wet waste, cover it with a wooden crack. Covering keeps the moisture or wetness inside the paper.

c. Keep watching for a few days. If the mixture inside the paper is too dry, sprinkle light-colored water by hand and cover again.

d. After 2-3 months, dry manure will start to form, which is thick and dark in appearance. The preparation of compost is also started by women groups of some bodies of the state of Jharkhand. If you want, you can also use compost bin, which is available in the market.

Some steps taken by the bodies for Swachh Survekshan 2019

a) Resolution taken to top the district through signature campaign.
A signature campaign was carried out by the Simdega Municipal Council regarding the cleanliness drive. People were asked for their suggestions by placing huge banners near the Nagar Parishad office and also asked to mark their contribution on the banner. Councilors also signed the ban. Clean cleaning of prashn puchte related to waste disposal, use of toilets and urinals, making the city open defecation free. It was also asked about the related complaints. In kaafi sankhya, the logo signed the banner, karte his sakriyata dikhai.

b. Organic manure being made from flowers , billboards and worship waste.
In the court of world famous Baba Basukinath, around one and a half lakh devotees gather in the month of Shravan and also on other days, these devotees offer various types of flowers, including flowers, bells and flowers, to Baba Basukinath. The process of making organic fertilizers has been started by not throwing them in vain.The scheme is being operated by Basukinath Nagar Panchayat for safe disposal of waste under the Swachh Bharat Mission on the instructions of the Urban Development and Housing Department of the Government of Jharkhand.In this, apart from the worship wastes of Basukinath Mandir, the process of making organic manure from wet and dry waste collected from the Nagar Panchayat area has been started. Under this, thousands of kilograms of flowers are offered daily in the temple. For this, organic manure is being collected from them at Basukinath bus stand.

c. Pad vending machine installed in toilets in Jamshedpur.
Pad vending machines are being installed in the community toilets of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee JNAC for better marks in Swachh Bharat Survekshan 2014. Since last month, JNAC has started installing sanitary pad vending machines and pad disposable machines in community toilets. JNAC is the first local body in the state to introduce this facility. Machines in Pandey Ghat, Bhuiyandih, Sati Ghat and Substation Ghats, Kadama, Domuhani, Sonari, Nirmal Basti, Bardih, Bagunhatu, Babudih by JNAC Has been imposed. This sanitary pad vending machine has a storage capacity of about 25 pads, the machine will provide a sanitary pad by inserting a coin of 5 rupees. The same pad used in the disposable machine is to open the lid and dispose by button. It was told by the JNAC official that the work of installing machines in the community toilets is going on. All the community toilets are in open places so these facilities were needed.
