Introduced to encourage students from the focus groups to opt for higher and technical education and to provide financial support for their expenses.
The scheme covered 202537 students in the year 2016-17 and 244551 students in the year 2017-18
Total Scholarship is disbursed through Aadhar enabled Direct Beneficiary Transfer(DBT)

Suggestions and inputs are invited from citizen on this scheme running by Schedule Tribe, Schedule Caste, Minority and Backward class Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand.

These types of scholarships are beneficial for students after matric,since this is the time they prepare themselves for their future stream and goal.This might help poor students who want to study and make their future bright.The benefits can be transferred to their bank accounts and it should also be checked it goes only to the students who genuinely needs them after proper authentication.
